Four brand name coffee houses are located within one block of Uptown Centre. Blenz Coffee is directly across the street at 599 Sixth Street. One half block to the south are Starbucks Coffee at 549 Sixth Street and Tim Hortons at 524 Sixth Street. Esquires is located directly across Sixth Street in the Royal City Centre shopping mall.

There are over 35 restaurants within two blocks of Uptown Centre with everything from fast food to fine dining. Some of the more notable establishments include White Spot, located directly across Sixth Street. Furthermore, Yianni's Greek Taverna, McDonalds, Taco Del Mar and Subway are located in the 500 block of Sixth Street at Westminster Centre. Kasuga Sushi & Japanese is located at 512 Sixth Avenue. Royal City Centre mall offers a variety of food choices in the food court. La Spaghetteria and La Rustica Italian restaurants are located at 232 Sixth Street.

8 major banks and financial institutions are located within one block of Uptown Centre for your daily banking. There are also a multitude of accountants, lawyers, insurance companies, and copy centres nearby for all of your business needs.

Recreation & Entertainment

Uptown Centre is only a short walk to Queen's Park. Walk through the beautifully landscaped park or stroll down one of the neighbouring streets to look at the amazing turn of the century character homes. Queen's Park also offers an arena with fitness facility and skating rink for the fitness enthusiasts. The New Westminster public library is located at 716 Sixth Avenue. The Massey Theatre is also close by at 735 Eighth Street. Massey is the largest theatre in the Lower Mainland outside of downtown Vancouver.

Uptown Centre is located immediately across the street from the Royal City Centre shopping mall. Here you will find a wide array of shops and services for your day to day shopping needs. The centre is anchored by a Zellers department store and a Safeway grocery store. London Drugs is located one half block south on Sixth Street at Westminster Centre.
